Welcome to Spinozzi's Woodshop. It's a woodworking and trades course for kids 7 to 13, run by Adam, known on the site as Mr. Spinozzi. He was a carpenter for 12 years and has taught high school woodshop for 8. In these terms, "we" and "us" means Spinozzi's Woodshop.
These terms are the deal between us and you, the parent who makes the account. By making an account or using the site, you agree to them. Please read them with our Privacy Policy and our Safety Notice.
Who may use the site
- The preview is by invitation. Each family gets a private invite link with one code. Please don't share your code outside your family.
- A parent or guardian, 18 or older, makes the account. Kids never get their own login or email address.
- Kids use the site through a parent's account, with the parent's permission.
- Teachers and co-op leaders may use the site with the kids they teach, with each family's permission.
Your account
- You're responsible for your account and for how your kids use it.
- Add each kid by a first name or a nickname only. Never use a last name.
- Keep your password private. If you think someone else has it, change it and tell us.
- Give us a real email address, so we can reach you about your account.
The preview and founder pricing
- The site is free during the preview.
- Founder pricing is for founding families. When memberships open, a founding family keeps a founder price, locked in for as long as they stay members.
- We'll never charge you without asking. You choose whether to join a paid membership. Nothing is charged unless you sign up for one.
- A preview is a test. Lessons, games and plans may change, move or break while we build. We may also end the preview.
Using our lessons and plans
Everything on the site belongs to Spinozzi's Woodshop and Mr. Spinozzi. That includes the lessons, the crew and their stories, the pictures, the recordings, the games and the build plans.
What you may do:
- Use the lessons and plans with your own kids, at home, in a school, in a homeschool co-op, or in any kind of schooling.
- Print plans and printouts for your family, or for the kids you teach.
What we ask you not to do:
- Sell, post or share our lessons, pictures, recordings or plans publicly.
- Put your name on them as your own.
- Copy the site, or use it to build another product.
Your feedback
If you send us feedback, we may use it to make the site better. We don't owe you anything for it, and we won't share your name with it unless you say we can.
Safety
Our build plans are for real wood and real tools. Before plans open, a parent ticks a box once to say they'll supervise every build and have read the Safety Notice. Every plan starts with a short safety notice too.
A parent or teacher decides what each child may do. Building has real risks, even with care, and every family builds at its own risk.
Please play fair
- Don't try to get into another family's account or records.
- Don't try to break, overload or copy the site, or use bots or scripts on it.
- Don't use the site for anything unlawful.
No promises beyond our best work
We work hard to make the site accurate, safe and running. But it comes as it is. We don't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. We don't promise that every lesson or plan is right for every child, tool or space. To the extent the law allows, we make no other promises, written or implied.
Limits of our responsibility
To the extent the law allows:
- We aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as lost time, lost data or lost materials.
- We aren't responsible for injury, loss or damage from building, as the Safety Notice explains.
- Our total responsibility to you is no more than what you paid us in the 12 months before a claim. During the free preview, that is zero.
Some places don't allow some of these limits. Where that's true, they apply only as far as the law allows.
Stopping, and closing your account
- You can stop at any time. Delete a kid's profile on your Account page. To close your whole account, write to us from the email on your account, and we'll delete it as our Privacy Policy explains.
- We may close an account that breaks these terms, or when the preview ends. We'll tell you first by email, unless the law or safety requires us to act right away.
- If you have a paid membership later, you can cancel it at any time. It stops at the end of the month you've paid for.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll email you before the change takes effect. If you keep using the site after that, the new terms apply.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
